YOINK (AKA JOE TALLARICO)
Yoink (aka Joe Tallarico) is a Chicago-based artist whose work is influenced by junk collecting, music, comics, op-art and old television shows. He has been described as exceptionally psychedelic, and his repetitive hand-drawn lines create a vibrating landscape to compliment ominous characters. He regularly exhibits his work in Chicago and elsewhere, most notably Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and New York, and has participated in several shows that have toured the globe. When he's not making art, he's digging up records before the sun rises in a parking lot flea market, brushing up on art history, or playing ping-pong. Visit his website.
