Vinylmore: Squishy By Stephen Blickenstaff
STEPHEN BLICKENSTAFF
Stephen Blickenstaff was born October 15, 1961 in Frederick, Maryland. He is most notably known for drawing The Cramps ‘Bad Music for Bad People’ record album cover in 1983. Stephen has also designed record covers and t-shirts for bands such as They Might Be Giants, Thin White Rope, The Graves Brothers Deluxe and Love Tractor among others. His work has appeared in various publications such as Dark Horse Presents, Weirdo, Guitar World, Psychotronic Video, Screw and Draculina. Stephen also painted the cover for the Living Dead Dolls Tour Book. A series of Stephen’s monster illustrations were licensed for vending machine stickers, a computer screensaver program called ScreamSavers, and a Burton snowboard. Blickenstaff has been showing his art in national galleries and recently was invited to create a Bart Simpson art piece for an international traveling art show to help promote the release of the Simpsons movie in Europe and Asia. He also recently contributed to Les Barany's Carnivora book and art show.

Our art toy show, Vinylmore, will have its opening night party @ atomic POP on Friday, March 7. We have over 50 different artists participating, working with Qees, Munnies, and various other blanks. We've started receiving toys for the show, so we'll be posting some of what you can see here.
